What to see near Tu Tu' Tun Lodge

96550 N Bank Rogue River Road·Gold Beach, OR·tututun.com

The southern Oregon coast asks something of you the moment you arrive: patience, and a willingness to walk a little further than feels strictly necessary. Drive south toward Brookings and pull into Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, where twelve miles of headlands, sea stacks, and hidden coves unfold along Highway 101. Follow the steep half-mile trail down to Secret Beach and you will understand why people keep quiet about it. Natural Bridges rewards those who find the right viewpoint, where wave-carved arches frame open ocean in a way that stops conversation entirely. Otter Point is smaller, quieter, easy to pass without stopping. Don't. The Rogue country softens you, but this coastline has edges worth meeting.
